Analysis Related:

  1. Q: What is your stock analysis methodology?
    A: BursaTracker is a
proprietary stock analysis system which combines real-time and historical stock transactional data.

First it looks at how a particular stock “behaves” historically. By analyzing how price and volume moves, BursaTracker captures the signatures of up and down cycles for each stock.

In real-time, transactional data is analyzed again, capturing the behavior of trades being executed during the trading hours of the day.

Both the intra-day and historical cycle signatures are analyzed, compared and matched to determine the probability of the directional movement (up/down) of each stock.

  2. Q: What are the stocks in Bursa Malaysia that BursaTracker analyzes?
A: BursaTracker analyzes ALL the stocks listed in Bursa Malaysia. However, newly listed IPOs will only appear (where applicable) 1 week after their respective listing dates. This is facilitate the minimum data our system needs for analysis purposes.

  3. Q: I do not see my favourite stocks in the All Counters list. Where is it?
A: All the stocks appearing in the All Counters list are those that have traded volumes of at least 1 lot (100 shares) since the beginning of each morning session. If the stock/s on your watch list or portfolio does not appear it means it is untraded (inactive) and deemed to be in a sideways holding pattern.

  4. Q: I have been monitoring the stocks in the Counters to Buy list, but I noticed they “disappeared” the following day. What happened?
A: After a buy signal has been triggered for a particular stock, please continue to refer to the All Counters page to determine the status of the stock subsequently. The stock will remain either bullish (upward bias), bearish (downward bias), or may even generate further buy signals (accumulate) before the Sell signal is triggered.

  5. Q: What is the holding period after the buy signals come out?
A: This is stock-dependent. Volatile stocks typically exhibit shorter trading cycles, ranging anywhere between hours to days and weeks, so the length of time it takes to go from a buy signal through to a sell signal will also vary accordingly. Trending stocks and blue chips tend to exhibit longer holding periods, but may experience intermediate profit-taking activity so the recommended approach is to monitor these stocks on a daily basis, if possible

  6. Q: I see some stocks with buy signals at different prices. Why is this so?
A: For certain stocks, BursaTracker will determine a range of prices as its entry points, so you may see different entry prices for these types of stocks. BursaTracker may also generate different buy prices on different occasions for trending stocks, allowing you to accumulate (add to your earlier positions) or provide you with an entry point (with higher price) if you missed the earlier buy signals.

  7. Q: I see certain stocks that show 0% probability. Does this mean that I should avoid these stocks altogether?
A: Stocks that show 0% probability typically fall into the category of newly-listed IPOs, whereby their trading history is too short. If you see a buy signal then it represents the very first buy signal recommended since the stock was listed. Another category of stocks that show 0% probability are those that go through name changes but essentially remain the same fundamentally vis-à-vis nature of business etc. When the name change takes place, BursaTracker treats these stocks as “NEW”, hence starting from a zero base. Our research team will periodically monitor this type of changes and make the necessary adjustments.

  8. Q: There are also stocks that show 100% probability. Does this mean they are guaranteed to make me money if I follow your buy signals?
A: For all stocks that show 100% probability (hit rate), it may be co-incidental that ALL the buy/sell signals generated by BursaTracker up to that point in time have been correct - hence, the 100% track record. However, past performance is not necessarily indicative, and should not be used as a basis for future performance of the BursaTracker system.

  9. Q: I have done some comparison using my own analysis with the one presented here. It's different and sometimes opposing. Can you please explain this?
A: Depending on the types of analysis you may be using (fundamentals and/or technicals), the possibilities are endless. Our methods of analysis aim to provide a different viewpoint in the trading behavior of each stock. Send us your inputs if you find something interesting. Constructive feedback is most welcomed.
    Email us at BursaTracker@aaasec.com.my

  10. Q: Why can't I find my favorite stocks in the BursaTracker list?
A: Not all stocks will appear. As our stock analysis system has filters in place, the stocks you are looking for may be filtered out. In addition, only stocks that satisfy the pre-defined technical analysis criteria are shown.

  11. Q: Do you provide analysis charts?
A: Not at the moment. Intraday charts are available via CyberTrade.

General Notes:

  1. We have had mixed results for counters priced under 10 sen as well as those that have very low trading volumes. Fortunately, stocks in this category that are triggered represent only a small percentage (typically 5% to 10%) of all the stocks that are triggered. We continue to refine and test our model on this type of counters to improve the hit rate (win/loss record).

  2. The content of this demo website is meant for a general audience with no particular trading and investment style, but we wish to point out that analysis can be custom-tailored to achieve optimum results for specific stocks and/or trading styles.
Email us at support@cybertrade2u.com for further inquiries.

  3. We do anticipate a small number of isolated cases whereby erroneous data is captured when our system interacts with the web host. These tend to be IT-related rather than reflecting flaws in our analysis methodology.
